Three-Month Check-In With Your MDW (Singapore)

Published 22 August 2026

Month three is a reset — not a replay of week two

Three-month check-in with your MDW (Singapore) is the scheduled conversation around 90 days after she started: confirm what is stable, coach what is not, and decide if the household path is still “keep and improve.” First-month review chats sit in #45. Weeks 1–4 settling sit in #107. This page owns the quarter check-in.

General guidance only. Soft MOM: mom.gov.sg. SmartMaid.com.sg is a marketplace. Licensed EAs place helpers. Platform ≠ agency.

Neighbouring hubs:

Step 1 — Book it like a real meeting

Pick a calm slot (not during dinner chaos). Both co-employers aligned first (#120). Tell her the purpose: review, not ambush.

Step 2 — Use a fair agenda

  1. Wins since month one (be specific)
  2. Two gaps max (with examples)
  3. Her questions / what she needs from you
  4. House-rules updates if any (#32)
  5. Next 30-day focus (one theme)

Tone: trust and standards together (#44, #27).

Step 3 — Separate coaching from path decisions

  • Coaching: duties, timing, communication
  • Path: keep improving vs start replace/end thinking (#116)

Do not hide a replace decision inside a “casual chat.”

Step 4 — Write one page of outcomes

Date, agreed standards, her requests you accepted, follow-up date. Keep with employment notes.

Step 5 — Loop the licensed EA when needed

Call the EA (#26) if gaps are safety/welfare, repeated after clear coaching, or you need replacement advice. Marketplace ≠ aftercare.

Soft MOM

  • Fair agenda prepared (wins + ≤2 gaps)

  • Outcomes written
  • EA looped only if criteria met
  • No invented $; no nationality ranking; platform ≠ agency

Scripts

To helper: At three months we like to check in: what is going well, two things to improve, and what you need from us. This is a conversation, not a surprise list.

To EA: We completed a three-month check-in. Issues remaining: [list]. Please advise coaching vs replacement options under soft MOM practice.

Bottom line

Run a calm 90-day check-in to lock standards for the next quarter — or start an honest path decision. Browse on SmartMaid; place through a licensed EA under soft MOM rules.
