MOM sends important reminders about your helper, such as when her Work Permit renewal or six-monthly medical examination is due. If your email or mobile number is out of date, you can miss them. Updating your details in FDW eService takes a few minutes.
How to update your email and mobile number
- Log in to FDW eService with your Singpass.
- Go to your profile and check your email address and mobile number.
- Update any detail that has changed and save.
- Look out for a confirmation, and keep a screenshot for your records.
Your agency can help if it is authorised to transact for you. MOM requires agencies to get your authorisation in FDW eService before they act on your behalf.
If your residential address changes
This is a separate step with a deadline: MOM asks you to update your new residential address within 2 weeks.
- Singapore citizens and permanent residents: update your address with ICA's eService.
- EP, S Pass, DP or LTVP holders with passes issued by MOM: update it in EP eService.
- LTVP issued by ICA: use "Edit my Profile" in FDW eService and upload a document showing the new address; MOM emails the outcome within 7 working days.
Your helper's workplace address then updates automatically, and MOM posts an acknowledgement letter within 2 weeks. See our guide to moving house with a helper.
Other details worth checking at the same time
- Household members: if you rely on a levy concession for a child or elderly person, check they are listed correctly.
- Rest days: MOM asks employers to update the helper's number of rest days in FDW eService after discussing it with her.
- Family member acting for you: if you appointed one, confirm the arrangement is still right.
Good habits
- Use an email address you check daily, not an old work address.
- Review your details once a year, for example when the renewal notice arrives.
- Tell your agency too, so its records match.
For a walk-through of the portal, see our FDW eService portal guide.

What you may miss with old details
- Work Permit renewal reminders, which give you time to arrange a renewal medical and insurance.
- Six-monthly medical examination reminders.
- Emails about levy concessions, waivers or refunds.
- Notices about interviews or house visits for your helper.
Keeping your details current is one of the simplest ways to stay on top of your obligations.
It takes less time than a levy payment and saves a lot of chasing later.
Common questions
Does my helper's Work Permit card need replacing when my details change?
A change of your email or phone does not affect her card. For an address change, MOM updates her workplace address and sends an acknowledgement letter.
Can my spouse update the details?
Only the employer, an authorised agency or an appointed family member for the transactions MOM allows. Most profile changes are best done by you.
