Employer NRIC and Address Verification for MDW Applications

Published 28 August 2026

Your NRIC address matters because MOM ties your helper to it. MOM says a helper must work at the employer's NRIC-registered address, and her workplace address on MOM's records follows yours. If you move, update your address within 2 weeks; Singapore citizens and PRs do this through ICA's eService, and the helper's workplace address then updates automatically. For a levy concession for a parent or other relative, MOM also checks that their NRIC shows the same address as yours.

Where MOM uses your address

  • Her workplace: helpers must work at the employer's NRIC-registered address. Source: MDW eligibility.
  • Levy concession: for an elderly relative or person with disabilities who is not you or your spouse, both NRICs must show the same address, and they must be listed as household members in FDW eService. Source: Levy concession.
  • Her duties: MOM's employment rules say she can only work for you at the address declared to MOM. Deploying her elsewhere without notifying MOM can lead to a penalty of up to $10,000. Source: Employment rules.

Before you apply

  1. Check your NRIC address is current. If you have moved, update it first.
  2. Have your and your family members' personal particulars ready. FDW eService asks for them along with your income information.
  3. If you rely on a family member's address or income, for example under the Joint Income Scheme, they must live at the same address as you.

When you move house

  • Update your address within 2 weeks of the change.
  • Singapore citizens and PRs: use ICA's eService. EP, S Pass, DP or MOM-issued LTVP holders: use EP eService. ICA-issued LTVP holders: upload proof of the new address in FDW eService.
  • Her workplace address updates automatically, and MOM posts an acknowledgement letter within 2 weeks.
