Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Smart Maid Singapore Platform website, applications, SocialPost publishing tools, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, signing in, connecting social media accounts, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. About the Platform

Smart Maid Singapore Platform is an online search and enquiry platform that helps employers browse domestic helper biodata published by licensed maid agencies. Smart Maid Singapore Platform is not a maid agency, employer, employment agency, or government authority. We do not employ domestic helpers, arrange placements, or guarantee the accuracy, availability, suitability, or conduct of any helper, agency, or user.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and notify us promptly of unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by attempting unauthorised access, scraping or harvesting data, uploading malware, impersonating others, harassing users or agencies, infringing intellectual property, or using the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

4. Third-party agencies and content

Biodata, fees, availability, contact details, and other information on the Platform are supplied by third-party maid agencies and users. Smart Maid Singapore Platform does not verify every listing and does not endorse any agency, helper, or statement made on or off the Platform. Any hiring decision, contract, payment, permit application, or dispute is solely between you and the relevant agency or parties. Smart Maid Singapore Platform is not a party to those arrangements.

5. Search features, AI search, and match scores

The Platform may offer search tools marketed or labelled as "AI search", "match %", or similar (collectively, "Smart Search"). Smart Search uses automated software, algorithms, and related technologies to interpret your criteria and rank or sort biodata for browsing convenience.

Match percentages, rankings, labels, and other Smart Search outputs are indicative estimates only. They are generated from biodata fields, filters, and search parameters supplied by agencies and users, and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Smart Search does not verify biodata, does not guarantee availability or suitability, and is not a recommendation to hire any helper. You remain solely responsible for reading biodata, interviewing, and confirming all facts with the relevant agency before any hiring decision.

Smart Search is provided for general information and discovery purposes only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim any warranty or liability arising from reliance on Smart Search outputs. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue Smart Search features, models, or scoring methods at any time without notice.

By using Smart Search, you acknowledge that match scores and rankings are indicative browsing aids only and that you will not rely on them as the sole basis for any employment or hiring decision.

6. SocialPost and connected social accounts

SocialPost is a tool that lets authorized agency users connect Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, YouTube, and other supported networks to draft, schedule, and publish content. By connecting an account, you confirm that you have authority to manage that Page, profile, or location and that content you publish complies with each platform's rules and applicable law.

We access connected accounts only through official OAuth APIs and only for features you use (such as publishing, analytics, or inbox tools). You may disconnect any connected account at any time from SocialPost → Channels. Disconnecting stops future publishing through SocialPost but does not delete content already published on third-party platforms.

We are not responsible for actions taken by Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, or other third-party platforms, including account suspensions, rejected posts, API outages, or policy enforcement.

7. No professional or legal advice

Information on the Platform is provided for general information only. It is not legal, immigration, employment, financial, or professional advice. Official requirements are set by the Ministry of Manpower and other authorities. You must confirm all obligations directly with the relevant agency and official sources before acting.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

YOU USE THE PLATFORM AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, FEATURES, SHORTLISTS, ENQUIRIES, MESSAGES, DOWNLOADS, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, OR ERROR-FREE PERFORMANCE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Smart Maid Singapore Platform, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, OR ANY MONETARY LOSS WHATSOEVER, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IN ANY MANNER WHATSOEVER FOR ANY ACT, OMISSION, REPRESENTATION, CONDUCT, DELAY, FAILURE, ERROR, OR LOSS CAUSED BY THIRD-PARTY AGENCIES, HELPERS, EMPLOYERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, INTEGRATIONS, OR OTHER USERS, INCLUDING DATA LOSS, SECURITY INCIDENTS, MISREPRESENTATION, NON-PERFORMANCE, OR FINANCIAL LOSS.

TO THE EXTENT LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PLATFORM OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) SINGAPORE DOLLARS FIFTY (S$50).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Smart Maid Singapore Platform and its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your content or enquiries, your breach of these Terms, or your dealings with any agency or third party.

11. Intellectual property

The Platform, branding, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to Smart Maid Singapore Platform. You may use the Platform only for personal, non-commercial employer search purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Platform except as permitted by law.

12. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may terminate or restrict access at our discretion, with or without notice.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
