Employers must meet age, bankruptcy, and understanding-of-duties requirements set by MOM. First-time employers typically complete the Employer Orientation Programme (EOP).

MOM assesses whether the household has genuine caregiving needs and can afford to employ and maintain a helper in suitable accommodation.
Accommodation standards
Helpers need reasonable privacy, ventilation, and safety. Prepare sleeping arrangements before applying if MOM or the agency asks for details.
